State Police Name Carbon County Man Found In Lehigh River (Updated)

A Jim Thorpe man was found dead in the Lehigh River on Monday, July 1, according to state troopers.

Authorities said 33-year-old Felix Dejesus was previously reported as missing and endangered by borough police before his remains were found around noon. 

The investigation is ongoing and there is no danger to the public, state police said. 

"Updates will be provided as to not jeopardize the integrity of the investigation," said Trooper Anthony Petroski of PSP's Hazleton Station in a statement on Tuesday, July 2.
